    Q. I’ve just started using CBCT in my office for the placement of implants. I have 2 questions. 1. What implant system do you recommend? Where can I find good information on guided surgery workflows?

    A. I really like the Dentsply Astra system. Why? It has solutions for all clinical situations including small diameter implants, TiBase solutions for CEREC owners, a simple guided surgery kit, reasonable cost and good company support. All of the CBCT instructional videos including navigation, implant planning and guided surgery workflows are in the members section under the Video Library. RB

    Q. Now that I have CBCT in my practice I’m looking for a good hands-on course in implant placement. Can you please make a recommendation?

    A. Great small group courses in guided implant surgery are available at 3D Infusion in Gilbert Arizona, a nice community next to Phoenix. The courses an outstanding opportunity for a doctor and key staff members to attend classes and go right back to the office to get started. Find out more at https://3dinfusiondental.com/. Tour the website, it is a great learning environment. They also have a one day class in Air to teach SICAT AIR and OPTISLEEP hands on with live patients. RB
